Understanding what makes a diamond exceptional helps you choose one with confidence.

We use premium lab-grown diamonds selected for their exceptional quality. Each diamond is assessed using the internationally recognised 4 C’s — Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat — the four key factors used to evaluate a diamond’s quality and beauty.

Carat (abbreviated as 'ct') measures a diamond's physical weight rather than its visual diameter. One carat is equal to exactly 200 milligrams. While carat weight influences value, two diamonds of the exact same weight can look completely different depending on their proportions.

Does carat size matter?

Carat weight determines a stone's mass, but the way a diamond is cut dictates how it actually appears on the skin. A precise, well-proportioned cut maximizes the surface diameter and light return. This ensures that even smaller, more delicate weights—like a 0.2-carat stone—appear clean, bright, and distinct.

Clarity evaluates the internal characteristics (inclusions) and surface markings (blemishes) created during the diamond's growth process. The scale ranges from Flawless (FL) down to Included (I3).

What are the most valuable clarity grades?

The most valuable diamonds are those graded Flawless (FL) and Internally Flawless (IF). These stones contain absolutely no internal inclusions or surface blemishes under 10x magnification, representing the highest tier of structural purity.

Right below these rare classifications sit VVS (Very, Very Slightly Included) diamonds. Because their internal characteristics are completely microscopic, VVS stones offer an identical appearance of total visual purity to the naked eye, making them a practical choice for high-quality everyday wear.

What is the impact?

Clarity determines the visual purity of the stone. Our diamonds are graded VVS (Very, Very Slightly Included), meaning any internal characteristics are entirely microscopic and invisible to the naked eye. This ensures the diamond remains clear and free of visible imperfections in daily wear.

Colour measures the natural tint present within a white diamond. The industry standard scale established by the GIA runs alphabetically from D, representing completely colourless, down to Z, which indicates a noticeable light yellow or brown tint.

The Essential Diamonds are in the F–G range for their clean, bright appearance.

What are the most valuable colour grades?

The most valuable diamonds are those graded D, E, and F. These are completely colourless stones, prized because they have no trace of tint, allowing them to reflect light with absolute purity.

What is the impact?

Subtle shifts in colour tone directly alter how bright a diamond looks once set. While completely colourless stones are the rarest, diamonds in the near-colourless (G–H) range offer identical visual clarity to the naked eye when worn, making them a practical choice for everyday jewellery.

Cut refers to the precision, alignment, and polish of a diamond’s facets. It dictates how light enters the stone and reflects back to the eye, rather than referring to the raw shape of the stone itself.

What are the most prized cut grades?

The most prized diamonds are those graded Excellent. This grade represents the highest level of cutting precision, where the facet angles and symmetry align perfectly to reflect light with absolute efficiency, preventing any dullness or leakage.

Does cut matter more than carat size?

A diamond’s appearance on the skin relies on the balance of all 4 Cs, with cut playing the most critical role. For a round cut diamond, we select precise, well-proportioned cuts that maximize the surface diameter and light return. This ensures that even smaller, more delicate weights appear clean, distinct, and bright.

Are these pieces water-safe and suitable for daily wear?

Yes. Crafted in 9k solid gold or 925 sterling silver, every piece is water-safe and hypoallergenic, meaning it won't tarnish, rust, or turn your skin green.

To keep fine chains from snagging and preserve your diamond’s brilliance from daily soap film or natural oils, we recommend taking them off before showering, workouts, or sleep.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. We use high-grade lab-grown diamonds (VVS clarity, F–G colour). Chemically, optically, and physically identical to mined stones, they score a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale for permanent scratch resistance and lasting clarity.

Does the Essential Diamonds come with individual certificates?

Because our pieces feature delicate stones, individual certificates are not included.

n traditional jewellery grading, reports from authorities like IGI or GIA are standard for stones over 1.00 carat. Omitting certification costs on smaller stones allows us to offer high-grade lab grown diamonds without extra markup.

Does my order come ready for gifting?

What is the difference between lab-grown diamonds and cubic zirconia or moissanite?

Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds made entirely of carbon. Cubic zirconia and moissanite are different materials with distinct physical properties. Lab-grown diamonds match mined diamonds in hardness, refraction, and longevity, while diamond simulants tend to scratch or lose brilliance over time.

What do VVS clarity and F–G colour mean?

VVS Clarity (Very, Very Slightly Included): Indicates stones with tiny inclusions that are extremely difficult to see even under 10x magnification, ensuring a completely clean appearance to the naked eye.

F–G Colour: Falls into the rare "Colourless" to "Near Colourless" range, offering a crisp, bright white appearance without warm yellow tones.
