Warranty Policy

Our gold-plated jewellery is crafted through a meticulous process. We ensuring a minimum thickness of 1 micron for our gold plating, and minimum 2.5 microns for gold vermeil pieces.

It's important to understand that precious metals like silver and gold have inherent characteristics that affect their appearance over time:

Metal properties

Precious metals are naturally delicate and can experience changes through normal wear. The process of oxidation may cause gradual fading, which is a natural characteristic of these materials rather than a defect.

Factors affecting appearance

Several factors can influence the appearance of your jewellery over time:

• Moisture exposure
• Chemical contact
• Residue from personal care products
• Frequency and method of cleaning
• Storage conditions
• Individual skin pH levels

With mindful wear and proper maintenance, your BY TONIN pieces can retain its beauty for years to come.

Your warranty covers manufacturing defects, including:

• Faulty clasps and closures
• Structural imperfections
• Assembly issues
• Material defects related to manufacturing

Please note that natural changes in the appearance of precious metals are not considered defects. Over time, slight discoloration may occur due to:

• Natural oxidation processes
• Environmental factors
• Personal care product interaction
• Individual wearing conditions

These subtle changes are part of the natural lifecycle of precious metals and reflect the character of your jewellery as it’s worn and loved.
